Breklyn loves dress up

The girls swimming with a friend

We have been doing lots of swimming this summer!

Earlier this year at the rodeo

Crew getting messy at the park. He is the funniest kid ever. Love his face in the next picture :)

Jaylie and Abigail. Abigail is Breklyn's best friend but Jaylie loves her and gets along with her just as well as Breklyn does. Love her family too! Her mom just found out she is pregnant with a 3rd girl :)

This was when we were moving and we had no where to sit or lay. We were finishing up packing and the kids were so content watching a show on the floor.

Breklyn is scared of a lot of things. She has always been scared of dogs, even my parents dog Koda. Last time we were there she magically said she wasn't scared anymore and was laying by him and giving him hugs and kisses. I was shocked! She wouldn't even get close to him before this day!

Playing dress up and loving their wigs. A friend gave us this beautiful brown wig when Jaylie was diagnosed, but she didn't wear it much because she said it was hot and the hair bugged her when it got in her face and stuff. It looks so cute!

Breklyn and Crew eating watermelon in our new house. Love my little blondies!

Jaylie's friend Shelly

I'm sure I have mentioned Shelly before on here, she is an amazing person! We first met her in the hospital, she heard about Jaylie and came to visit. She still visits and comes over and plays with Jaylie. She always gets Jaylie things after her MRI's and she is so thoughtful. Jaylie loves her and is so exctied when she gets a chance to see her. Shelly has been through a lot herself and has made it a point to help others in life. She was in a horrible accident when she was little and almost didn't make it.  She also got cancer about a year ago. She has been on mission trips and is part of the Big Sister program too. I am so thankful for her and other people like Shelly who do so much good. Thank you Shelly for loving and being a good friend to Jaylie :)

She came to her birthday party too :)

I took these the other day when she came to visit.

Father's Day

Father's Day was really nice. We went to my parents and had dinner with my Father. I am so grateful for a wonderful husband who is the best Dad to our 3 children. I couldn't ask for a better man and father for my kids. I am so grateful to my own Dad too. He is the best Dad to all of his 6 kids and has done so much for me. I love these 2 men! And I love that there is a day to celebrate them. We took pictures of Kip with the kids and I but there are on my Dads computer :( But here are some of me and my little sis with our Dad!

Wall of Courage

There is a neat website called Wall of Courage that is dedicated to brain tumor kids. You can go to the website to learn some facts and you can see the warriors on there. Jaylie is on there now. You can go to this link http://wallofcourage.com/gallery.htm and look under the J's and find her. You can also buy shirts and other gear through this website. I thought I'd share :)

Life is so fragile

I know first hand how precious life is and how life can change in an instant. A little 3 year old boy was resuscitated right in front of me today at our neighborhood pool.  So grateful for all those who helped. He is now at Dell Childrens recovering and is doing well. It was sure scary. Lots of prayers for them today. Life is so fragile.

The 2nd Annual Brain Power 5K is proud to benefit the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation for Brain Cancer Research at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and pediatric initiatives at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Brain Power 5K originated from a brain tumor survivor's will to make a difference in the fight against brain cancer. Kelly Bolinger saw the need in the Austin community for an event to honor those affected by this disease. Combining her love for running, years of involvement in races and desire to improve brain cancer research; the Brain Power 5K was born. Funding from Brain Power 5K will go directly to the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation supporting brain cancer research at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The Foundation also provides funding to improve the lives of the young patients at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.

At MD Anderson, 3 clinical trials have resulted directly from their contributions. The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation has funded clinical trials that have actually enabled many brain tumor patients to live 5-6 years and more without recurrence and with a great quality of life.

At Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation created and developed their Pediatric Palliative Care Program, opened Marnie's Garden room, and helped to outfit the first pediatric Life Flight helicopter. Now, in an exciting collaboration among UT Health Medical School, Texas A&M, and MD Anderson, their funds are pioneering amazing new research to treat pediatric brain tumors. Your efforts are improving the lives of these children.

Utah Trip

We had such an amazing vacation to Utah! We were there for 2 weeks and it went by so fast. We stayed busy and had a blast!! My husbands whole family was there. His parents and his two brothers and their families. His older brother just got married and they both brought 3 kids to the marriage, so they have 6 now, and then his twin brother has 3 kids about the same ages as ours. It was super fun being together with everyone!

These were at an animal museum in Provo at BYU. It was crazy going back there and being on campus. It had been 8 years since Kip and I graduated from there!

My new nephews, Ben and Jack, loved Crew. They were sooo cute with him and wanted to hold him all the time, it was so nice! Jack even bought Crew a little elephant from the museum, so sweet!
My darling neices!

Kips older brother, Brandin and his family (he is not pictured)

Me, Mindi (my new sister in law who is married to Kips older brother), and Ashley (my sister in law who is married to Kips twin brother)   I love both of these girls!!

We got a few rooms in Park City for a few days. It was so fun! We had an awesome balcony with a hut tub! The kids were in Heaven!

Crew got pink eye while we were in Utah and had fever with it. He felt horrible, poor guy.

This next one is of our family with Kips grandma (his dads mom). There was a Nielson family reunion while we were there and it was so great to see and meet everyone.

This is the beautiful headstone of my sister in law (who was married to Kips older brother Brandin) who passed away a little over a year ago. I miss her a lot. It was so great to see this and the girls were really sweet and respectful while we were there. They still remember Stacy and love her.

We rented jet skis at a lake by my inlaws house. It was so fun!!
