Give Kids The World Village

Here are some pictures of the place we stayed during our Disney World trip where all the Make A Wish families stay. Its called Give Kids The World and it is really amazing and they really do give kids (and adults for that matter) the world! We did not want to leave!

 This is Amberville. There was putt putt in here, the train ride, video games, etc.

 They had these trains to take you from one side of the village to the other. Our villa was close to the pool and eating places but far from the playground, so we would ride this to get there.

 The ice cream palace where we ate way too much ice cream and banana splits! We have been careful what we are feeding Jaylie, but we went all out on this trip and have no regrets!

 The theater where they have movies sometimes and character greetings. We met Santa and Minnie and Mickey in here.

The castle of miracles with the carousel by it. Jaylie had her star put on the ceiling here where it will stay forever, there is a wishing well, a little salon the girls can get nails painted, tattoos and hand massages, there are characters here sometimes, a little play place with a little slide, etc. Its really neat.

 This playground was really neat. It had a life size candy land game around and through it.

 The Gingerbread house where we ate breakfast and dinner.

 The inside of the gingerbread house. The tables had candy mints built into them and there were different dolls and stuffed animals that lined the shelves near the ceiling. The kids loved it.

It was an amazing place and the kids want to go back! We will never forget it!

Kindergarten Graduation!

I can't believe my baby girl graduated from Kindergarten! I was emotional that day. She is my first child to go to Kindergarten and she is a miracle child.  Kip and I both talked about how we were more proud of her than any other parent has been of their Kindergartner :) She loved school and did well and made lots of friends. We could not be more proud of this little girl!  

They sang a couple songs and did actions to them. One of the songs was "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. She was so cute up there singing her heart out and doing the actions. The words of the song meant so much more now and it was so hard to keep my tears in. Jaylie kept saying to Kip and I in the days leading up to the graduation that the goal is to make you cry. Kip and I were both crying on that song. It was special. I still cry when we hear that song in the car and she sings and does the actions. It sure is a whole new world for us. A world we never knew about before cancer.

Her class had to wear brown shirts and jeans or jean shorts. Not the Kindergarten graduation outfit I would have planned, but it was nice having all the kids from the same class wearing the same color.

These are from their Kindergarten field trip to a farm. It was fun. Jaylie got so tired from all the walking and stuff that she had a melt down at the end of it, so she rode home with me instead of going back in the bus with the other kids. She was not used to walking a lot or anything and she was so overly tired. I hadn't really seen her freak out like this before, it was very unlike her.

This one is from cowboy day at school. They got to dress up and do cowboy activities. This is the hat she got from her Make A Wish trip :)

Jaylie's Dance Recital

Jaylie took dance lessons from my friend Michelle all through chemo. She would come to our house once a week and give the girls a lesson. She teaches at Greater Austin Dance Academy, so when Jaylie was through with treatments, they let her actually go to the dance academy and be in one of the classes that Michelle taught there! And it was free to us! We are so thankful for them! Jaylie loved it and was so excited about her recital.

I wish the stage pictures turned out better, she was so cute up there!
