Gratitude

I have been having a hard time lately figuring out how to express my gratitude to everybody for their prayers, support, gifts, and amazing service to our family and Jaylie. We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and all the kind things people are doing for us. It is absolutely amazing and is a huge blessing to us. We are so thankful and appreciate it all so much! We shed many tears of gratitude everyday. I wish I could document all the things people have done for us and given us, it is amazing.  Dinners, yard work, babysitting, cleaning house,  gifts for Jaylie and for us, cards, money, fundraisers, Jaylie shirts, websites, blendtec blender, roomba vacuum, a beautiful real hair wig, etc. etc. Again, it is amazing. We are so grateful and hope you all know that. Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!

Camp shirts

This is a picture of Jaylie with my friend and her two daughters who go to my church. They came over and surprised us and brought these shirts to us. They are soo cute! They are bright pink and purple and Jaylie loved them! They came up with the idea and designed the shirts and all the girls in my ward wore them to camp. They are so awesome! Thanks girls!!

It has one of my favorite scriptures on it.

Here are some of the young women I work with at my church. I work with the youth girls who are 12 and 13 years old. I love it! They are all so awesome. These three girls showed up at our mid week activity wearing the Jaylie shirts :)

Random Pics

I love this picture of Jaylie. It was taken a couple weeks before her diagnosis.
Showing off her port bandange:)
My attempt to get the ointment out of her hair. We had to put the ointment on twice a day everyday since surgery and it got all over and is super hard to get out. This helped only a tiny bit!

My awesome friends from San Antonio had this made and put it on grey t shirts. I love it!
You girls are the best!

Some of our favorite friends just moved to Arizona. They had 3 boys, their youngest two were Jaylie and Crew's age. Jaylie loved Colt! He was her favorite person in Austin. We met them right after we moved here and she loves him so much. We were sad to see them leave.

Trip for Jaylie

We went on a little family get away the weekend before she started her radiation treatments (I am just now getting to it, I have a lot of pictures I want to put up, its just hard to find time). We wanted Jaylie to have a blast and wanted to create fun and happy memories that she would hopefully remember for a long time.  A huge thank you to Jess, Bryan, and Chris for helping us do this.  Ya’ll are awesome and we will forever be grateful.

We had a blast! It was so nice to just feel like a normal family and put all of this out of our minds for a couple days.  The kids had so much fun and so did we. We went to Sea World on our first day. The kids had not been in 2 years, so they were super excited. It was so great to see their faces light up during the shows and when they would see the animals. I love Sea World, always have. It was awesome.  It was hot but there was a breeze so it wasn't too bad and it was not crowded at all! After Sea World, we headed to our hotel. We stayed at the JW Marriott resort in San Antonio. It is amazing! I highly recommend it. Jaylie said on our last day that she wished it was our home and that she could live there forever. They have an awesome pool with a huge lazy river and water slides. They always had different fun activities going on, like balloon artists, animal shows, magic shows, movies by the pool at night, smores at night, crafts for the kids, they had a rubber duck race in the lazy river, and lots more. Once we got to the hotel, we did not leave-it was too fun and there was too much going on!  We saw a couple of our friends while we were there. The Woods visited us at the resort for a couple hours and then we stopped at The Wheelus’s house on the way back to Austin.  It was so fun to see them.  On monday, Memorial Day, we went to Cheesecake Factory. Jaylie had been asking to go there for a while now, so we ended her special weekend with that.

 Mom (Kajsa) with the kids

It was hot, you can tell it in his cheek color :) By the way, this kid is a little angel, I'm so in love with him!

Watching the dolphin and whale show

Love this face

Feeding the dolphins. We had never done this before so it was really exciting. Jaylie was a little bit scared :)

Every time I tried to take a picture of Breklyn, she would do this face and kind of turn away. Shes going through a stage right now that unless it is her idea she doesn't want her picture taken. Shes so funny.

Showing the camera her penny from the penguin exhibit.

We bought Jaylie a shamu. We told her she could get anything she wanted in the store on the way out and she wanted a shamu.  We told Breklyn she could get what she wanted to, but she did not want to buy anything, she just wanted a drink, so we got her one. We did a lot of things this trip that we don't usually do like buying them things, feeding the dolphins, getting treats at the hotel, etc. Pretty much whatever the two girls wanted to get or do, we did it. We felt like this was our last trip before treatment started and things might not ever be the same after, so we just had fun and did not worry. It was nice.

Hiding from the camera again

Crew laughing during a show

The kids loved the show

They had a rubber duck race at the resort. All the kids decorated their rubber duck with colored sharpies and then they put them in the lazy river to race.

Loved this picture of them laughing together

The kids loved this butterfly, it was so big!

Jaylie and Breklyn watching the animal show. They had some neat animals that you don't see very much.

Crew sleeping during the animal show. Most of the pictures I have of him, he is asleep in the stroller. He is such a good baby.
Swimming in the pool with Dad

Asleep at the pool

Jaylie having fun in the pool

The girls with their balloons the balloon artist made them. Jaylie got a unicorn and Breklyn a flower. They loved them.

Crew sleeping at dinner. Crew slept in the stroller a lot this trip. We were never in a room to let him nap in a crib. He was a trooper.

There were a few different restaurants at the resort. One of them does the dinner outside on tables. We went and it was really fun. It was good barbeque. They had a country music band playing and had this longhorn there for people to get on and take pictures. The girls had fun dancing to the music and seeing the longhorn. Breklyn was so scared, she would not even get near it.

Pictures from our dinner at Cheese cake factory

She kept wanting me to take a ton of pictures of her like this!
