Absolutely Amazing Story

Here is a very recent email that I received and I was just so blown away that I feel the best way for me to share this story is to let y'all read the email for your self. I will forever be grateful for all the love and kindness that has been shown to my family from around the WORLD. Sometimes I just feel that thank you isn't enough, but I hope each of you know how much each of you mean to me and how grateful I am to all of you!

Hi Kajsa,

My name is Laura Rancie and I am lds living in Melbourne, Australia. Tonight I read your story via an ldsliving.com email. I also looked at your blog.
I am 28 and have two children. A boy aged 3.5 and a little girl 6 months. Obviously your family's beautiful spirit came through the words I read and my heart and prayers and tears go out to your young family.

I was touched that you are hosting a fun run to raise what seems to be the last $7,500 or so. I have contacted every single one of my family, extended family and friends as well as my ward and am organising a fun run right here in Melbourne, Australia to help raise funds for your family. I used two pictures from your blog and the words in the article I read to put together a .pdf file that accompanied my email tonight to our family.

On Saturday 20 August, at 10am (Melbourne, Australia time) we will be doing a 4km fun run on behalf of Jaylie and your family. I will then personally see that they money reaches you asap. I hope this is okay by you, and that you feel the love and prayers of people all over the world. How grateful I am to be a part of this church and know that a loving Father in Heaven watches over us and is there to comfort us and help us when we need it. Hopefully this is a small token of his love for you - a pacific ocean away.

  1. It is amazing to me how this little girl and her family has touched so many lives. Friday night my friends came from the town of West, Texas to run the 5K here. They did not know Jaylie, but did it because of me. As we were waiting at Cracker Barrel, we talked to a couple and mentioned they had come in for a 5k. Are you running for little Jaylie? they asked. My friend said, "Yes we are." The couple told us they heard her story and was amazed by her strength and spirit. Jaylie has touched so many lives!!! We love you Jaylie!!!
